I do think they are a very beneficial tool to use as a classroom resource. It is a nice place where handouts, assignments, and other pertinent class information can be posted for my students. Plus, students are able to carry on converstations on the wiki.

\nI think that once I get my students used to using a wiki outside of class, then I will work it into the classroom and into lessons. I think it is particularly interesting if we can have our students have a wiki-discussion with students from another school. For the marketing courses, I have created tables and had students post information. My law students use the discussion feature to talk about various chapter-related topics.

\nI have found that, especially for the disucssions, the wiki has allowed students to contribute who usually don't participate in class. Many of the discussions are also opinion based. I also use it as a space for students to collaborate from home. In AP Lit, my seniors can complete a group project in the eveing or during weekends without having to arrange to meet face to face.
